SUCCESS OF BUSINESS TRAVEL SHOW DEMONSTRATES RESILIENCE OF MARKET FOR OMEGA WORLD TRAVEL

21/02/2012 00:00:00

Business travel is alive and well - judged by the success of this year’s Business Travel Show.

That is the view of the show’s official travel management company, Omega World Travel, who were delighted with the response they got to their presence at the show this year.

Omega World Travel’s stand at Business Travel played a triple role for the company this year; celebrating the group’s 40th anniversary, launching a new online system for clients, and introducing visitors to the company’s revamped management team headed-up by newly appointed Commercial Director Europe Middle East and Africa, Tony Hughes.

He said: “We couldn’t have chosen a better venue to celebrate our birthday and tell old friends and new about our plans for expanding our operations in the UK this year and beyond. If the level of serious interest we saw on our stand, and the quality of the delegates is anything to go by, then business travel is certainly alive and kicking. We were delighted to have seen an increase in bookings in 2011 and, like many business travellers, are now gearing up for better economic conditions towards the end of this year”.

One of the first of these new developments from Omega World Travel will be its new self-booking tool, developed as part of a new partnership with technology supplier KDS, the international expert in T&E online solutions, who were also exhibiting at the show.

Director of Sales and Marketing EMEA Francesco De Luca who was on the stand to introduce visitors to the company’s expanded sales team said the aim was to give Omega clients end to end online capabilities, including pre-trip approval, integrated rail bookings and expense management.

Omega World Travel’s corporate headquarters is the third largest travel management company in the US and it has had offices in the UK for over ten years – one of 100 international locations worldwide.
